Monitor online presence

How to create strong digital basics.

Monitor social media channels for negative and positive mentions of your business. “Just like individuals, small businesses have reputations to keep. Reputation, after all, can mean the difference between attracting and retaining customers and losing them in droves,” said American Express OPEN Forum Contributor Vivian Wagner. While larger companies can hire a reputation management firm to help out on social media platforms, this is unrealistic for smaller organisations. Instead, set up Google Alerts for your company name, or the names of your products, so you’re aware of any mentions online. Rather than ignoring negative comments, see these as constructive criticism that can be used to make changes for the better.
