Work with government-backed innovation groups

How to cultivate external contacts to develop new offerings.

Get to know the government-supported innovation groups in your sector. Explore what they offer and targets which ones can help your business form the links it needs. Two examples of these are: Catapults, which are physical centres where businesses, scientists and engineers work on turning late-stage research into new products and services, and Knowledge Transfer Networks, which connect funders, academics and businesses to support innovation. These groups often form networks among the businesses with whom they work and can be a useful means of finding like-minded businesses to collaborate with.
