Be the Business Festival to showcase inspirational leadership

On Tuesday 19 March 2019, Be the Business will be taking over the Royal Institute of British Architects building for an immersive festival all about sharing the secrets to improving business performance.

Be the Business Festival guests will be joining a diverse audience of some of the UK’s best-known business leaders and innovative small firms from across the nation, all united by the common goal of raising the bar for British business.

The evening will feature opening remarks from secretary of state for business Greg Clark, one-to-one mentoring sessions to crack practical business challenges and engaging talks from some of the most inspiring voices in UK business.

• Sir Charlie Mayfield, chairman of the John Lewis Partnership, on how empowering employees can deliver business growth
• Doug Gurr, head of Amazon UK, on how to succeed online
• Professor Veronica Hope Hailey, dean of Bath University School Management, on how to be a better leader in ten minutes
• Hosein Khajeh-Hosseiny, chairman of Trinity Sky, on how to double the size of your business in four years
• Matt Carr, commercial director at Carrs Pasties, shares his experience of a mentor changing the way he does business

Business leaders who have been part of the Be the Business Mentoring for Growth and Productivity through People programmes will be in attendance to reveal how they have been using advice, support and guidance from outside of their companies to improve operations, get employees more engaged and ultimately become more competitive.
