A step-by-step guide to getting your business open for business again

Open for businessWith the government publishing plans to enable certain sectors in England to open for business again, here are some important steps you might want to consider.

Official guidance on working safely, as well as specific guidance for sectors such as retail, restaurants, factories and construction, have set the foundations companies around England need to get back into the workplace.

At this stage, employers need to plan for what is likely to be a staged return to the workplace over what could be a prolonged period. Adjustments to the way businesses operate or deliver services require consideration – this could include changes to production, staffing and customers interactions. Our checklist should help you get your operations open for business again as safely as possible.

The checklist (below) should not be considered as legal advice, and is not exhaustive, but should be a helpful guide to the issues that need to be considered before reopening your business.

Our getting back open for business checklist is also accessible as a downloadable or printable PDF.
